Founded in New York City in 2020 by striking Spectrum cable workers, People's Choice Communications is a worker-owned internet service provider building community-owned broadband networks.

Focused on public and affordable housing, the cooperative offers an alternative to traditional corporate internet providers. Its model reinvests network revenues into community services, digital education, and training local residents as Digital Stewards.

People's Choice challenges us to think about broadband not simply as a commercial service, but as essential infrastructure that communities can help own, govern, and sustain.
