Sister Bridges Light up for the NFL Draft

Allegheny County is always looking for ways to use the Sister Bridges’ lights to enhance their beauty and make them shine during major events Downtown and on the North Shore. So, we were proud to partner with the NFL to create special lighting displays for the draft. Last night, the Roberto Clemente, Andy Warhol, and Rachel Carson Bridges lit up in each team’s colors during their picks, and the bridges will do the same tonight. The bridges also feature pre-draft and post-draft light shows to make the event even more enjoyable for residents and visitors. In addition to large events like the draft and Picklesburgh, the county also changes the Sister Bridges’ lighting for non-religious holidays such as Independence Day, and we annually commission artists to create light shows for the public to enjoy during the holiday season.
