Morgan Berman
Morgan Berman is a Philadelphia-based entrepreneur and community leader whose work sits at the intersection of technology, civic life, and social impact. She is the founder and president of Glitter, a neighborhood-based street-cleaning platform that allows residents and businesses to collectively fund recurring litter removal while creating paid work for people who face barriers to employment. She previously founded the social-impact technology company MilkCrate and served as executive director of Life Science Cares Philadelphia.
Berman’s work with Glitter explores a deceptively simple civic question: when something needs doing in our shared public spaces, whose responsibility is it? Glitter offers one answer by giving neighbors a way to organize, pool resources, and directly care for the blocks where they live and work—while raising larger questions about community agency, public services, and what it means to take ownership of a city.
She holds a master’s degree in Sustainable Design from Philadelphia University and a bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies and Anthropology from the College of William & Mary. Her work has included sustainable design, community engagement, nonprofit leadership, and social entrepreneurship.
