Feliks Banel

I had interviewed JT Mudge, a futurist, who had recently worked with planners from some of the worlds largest cities on a forcasting workshop, exploring futures of cities. I wanted to do a companion story looking at how we thought about the future of cities in the past. That inquiry led me to the Worlds Fair, and ultimately to my friends at the Downtown Seatle Partnership.

They introduced me to Feliks. We had an incredible conversation about the Fair, the space race and Seattle. In actuality, we had two conversations. I had some technical difficulties at the beginning of our call. Once I finally got them worked out, I forgot to start recording again. Fortunately he was gracious enough to give me a do over and it was even better the second time.

It turned out to be a great companion for episode 8, plus I posted the full conversation as well.
